NAPOLEON

Vallée due Rhône, Saône and Provence

The Napoléon is Europe ’s finest river cruiser, combining all the amenities of a luxury hotel with the friendly ambience of a country inn.   She is beautifully appointed large with picture windows that provide unsurpassed views of the countryside.

The Napoléon cruises the Rhône in Provence and the Saône between St Jean de Losne and Lyon.  She may be hired on a per cabin or charter basis.

The Napoléon cruises the Rhône between Arles and Tain l’Hermitage/Tournon; sun-drenched landscapes that inspired the great canvases of Cézanne and Van Gogh.  A region full of sophisticated architecture dating back to the Roman civilization and ruins of fortifications, arenas and aqueducts that continue to amaze modern engineers.  The endless vistas of tiled roofs, lavender fields and olive groves are synonymous with Provence. Excursions are arranged to the wine region of Châteauneuf-du-Pape and the story book towns of Orange, Avignon, Arles, St Rémy, birthplace of Nostradamus and the ancient Roman and Greek ruins of Pont-du-Gard and Glanum.

In the early spring and late autumn the Napoléon cruises the river Saône from Lyon to St. Jean de Losne, visiting Lyon , France ’s second city, the Beaujolais region, Mâcon, the totally restored Abbey of St. Philibért in Tournus, Chalon-sur-Saône, the Côte Challonais and Beaune.

The Napoléon is a grand river cruiser, displaying the charm of the ever-popular Provencal décor. Rich fabrics in red, gold and green create a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

The Napoléon can comfortably accommodate up to 12 guests on three spacious levels. A sun deck with Jacuzzi and exercise equipment is located on the top deck. The main deck contains the salon, dining room and one state cabin. On the lower deck you will find the remaining five guest cabins. The boat is air conditioned throughout.
