Auxerre to Nemours

Departing every Sunday between June 29 and Sept 28, 2008

Sunday, DAY 1 Auxerre 
We meet you at your hotel in Paris at 14.00 hours, in our M.B. Bus & Champagne reception & introduction to the facilities. Time for a fantastic walking tour around this ancient town. You will be transported to another time as we walk through the winding streets passed the well-preserved half-timber facades. Auxerre features some of the best gothic architecture in Europe with its churches, crypts and abbey. And the clock tower from the 15^th. 

Monday, DAY 2 Auxerre to Yonne River
A morning cruise down the Yonne River before lunch and an afternoon visiting the celebrated Chablis & tasting her wines, Through the vineyards to Irrancy to taste the Pinot Noir. Continuing to Cave de Bailly for a sparkling tasting and tour of the statues in the cavernous caves.   

Tuesday, DAY 3 St Florentine to Joigny
This morning we visit St. Florentin on the Canal du Burgundy to visit a goat

Wednesday, DAY 4 Joigny to Villeneuve-sur-Yonne
This morning we cruise to Villeneuve sur Yonne, home of Louis XIII & more celebrated Lesley Carron, We lunch by the quay then continue on to the quaint medieval town of Sens. Here we visit the 11^th century masterpiece that is St Etienne Cathedral and Museum which features a impressive collection of Gallo-Roman antiquities. And Napoleon’s hat.  Sens is a great town to walk around and enjoy the French atmosphere or do some shopping.

Thursday, DAY 5   Villeneuve-sur-Yonne to Moret-sur-Loing
Today we finish the Yonne River, cruise on the Seine River & start on the Canal du Loing… a beautiful cruise to arrive at Moret sur Loing, We tour this village of flowers and towers, made famous by Alfred Sissly.

Friday, DAY 6  Moret-sur-Loing to Nemours
A drive through the Forest of Fountainblue brings us to the Chateau… home to 34 different Sovereign. From the 16 C.  We tour the State apartments and Napoleon 1^st. Imperial inner Apartment after lunch we cruise along the canal to Nemours. All the locks today are manual, & you are invited to join in, it’s easier than you think & fun.

Saturday, DAY 7  Nemours to Paris
After breakfast, we disembark and transfer you back to your hotel in Paris where your tour ends.

Golf Charters: In France we have the best selection of golf courses. Golf Charters are always available at a cost (call for rates) when chartering 8 passenger Absolute2. Prices include golf fees, meals at golf clubs and transfers. Golfing is also possible on hotel departures on own expense.
