 MONTBARD to ST. FLORENTIN 

Departing every Sunday between June 11  and Nov 5

 

Sunday, DAY 1 Montbard 
We meet in Paris at Le Parc Sofitel Demeure and transfer to the Marjorie II. After a champagne welcome and introduction of the boat by the crew there's time for an early evening stroll before our first dinner on board.

Monday, DAY 2 Montbard to Ravieres
This morning we go on the first excursion to the abbey of Fontenay, founded in 1118 by Saint-Bernard as a self-sufficient setting for the rule of "pray, work, sleep" followed by his monks. Afternoon cruise to Ravieres.

Tuesday, DAY 3 Ravieres to Ancy-le-Franc
After breakfast we leave to visit Vezelay. The chef will prepare a special lunch hamper and in the late afternoon we re board our barge to cruise to Ancy-le-Franc
 

Wednesday, DAY 4 Ancy-le-Franc to Tanlay
Today we drive to Auxerre, one of the most beautiful towns in France and historical capital of Lower Burgundy. Renaissance houses surround the Galliarde clock tower, a city landmark since 1483.  Back on board we cruise to Tanlay

Thursday, DAY 5   Tanlay to Tonnere
Tanlay's château is a Renaissance dream surrounded by marvelous gardens and a golf course (this is an optional excursion for those who feel that they've seen enough churches and château's), all within walking distance of our mooring. In the afternoon we cruise to Tonnere, great for sightseeing from the sundeck on route...or following the barge by bike or on foot along the towpath.

Friday, DAY 6  Tonnere  to St Florentin
This morning we drive to the Chablis region, home of the famous dry white wines of Petite Chablis, Chablis, Premier Cru and Grand Cru. Afternoon cruise to St. Florentin for our final farewell meal.

Saturday, DAY 7  St Florentin to Paris
After breakfast, we disembark for a transfer back to Paris.
