DAY 1 : Strasbourg
Welcome on board the ship
by our hostess towards the end of the afternoon. We embark on board the ship. Dinner is served on board with the evening free
in Strasbourg.
DAY 2 : Strasbourg
– The
Christmas Capital
Departure of the coach at
9:30 AM with our hostess for sightseeing of the old quarters of Strasbourg. The Petite France area of the city is a
medieval quarter lovingly restored and protected over the centuries. Its
half-timbered houses stand in a straight line along the arms of the
Rhine. You will also discover the biggest Christmas Market of Europe
which is located on the square of the cathedral and at Broglie Place. A
combination of ingenious flavors: ginger bread, hot wine, Bredele
(better know as Alsatian cakes) will guide you into the magic of
Christmas. Many local craftsmen will present their products: Christmas
decorations, pieces of pottery and embroidery. You may also want to
taste the famous sauerkraut, a typical Alsatian meal. In the
afternoon, you will have time for shopping. |

After dinner, our hostess will
take you back to the city by coach to visit the wonderfully illuminated
and decorated city.
DAY 3 :
The Alsatian Wine Road /
Kaysersberg – Strasbourg
After breakfast on board,
departure of the coach down the Alsatian Wine Road. We drive through
typical Alsatian villages and past famous vineyards where you will
discover one of the most beautiful regions of France. We will stop along
the way for a visit to a local wine cellar which is followed by a
wine-tasting session. Lunch is at a local restaurant in the region.
Around 4:00 PM, we will go to Kaysersberg, the village of Albert
Schweitzer, which is located among renowned vineyards. The village will
surprise you with its ramparts, its fortified bridge, the town hall, and
its picturesque wooden balustrade. The village has wisely preserved
these beautiful and historic sites. In Kaysersberg, we discover one of
the most renowned Christmas Market (open on Friday afternoons, Saturdays
and Sundays, starting at 11:00 AM). Return to Strasbourg with dinner on
board the ship.
