Regensburg to Vienna to Regensburg

5 nights

This itinerary offers you something very special: the Danube summary. Take in the enchanting cities along Europe’s second-longest river between Regensburg and Vienna – all packed into six fascinating, unforgettable days. After passing the pleasant city of Linz, on the third day of our journey you reach Vienna – a city resplendent in glory and wonder. Discover the grandeur of bygone ages. Visit the imposing St Stephen’s Cathedral, stroll through the attractive Naschmarkt area, wander around the famous Prater park, or visit the magnificent royal treasures in the Hofburg.

After passing charming wine-making villages in the Wachau region (a UNESCO World Heritage site) you will reach the second highlight of the journey: the impressive Benedictine abbey of Melk, which was named the Best Historic Destination in the World by National Geographic Traveler Magazine in 2008. On your return to Regensburg you will pass through the city of Passau with its beautiful cathedral.
