AROSA DONNA
7 Night Passau to Passau B

DAY 1: PASSAU
Passau is a picturesque city located on a peninsula where the Inn and the Ilz join the Danube. The predominantly Baroque city has always been shaped by historical events. Its tourist attractions reflect its rich history. Passau is also called the "gateway to the Black Sea". Ship departs 4:30pm.

DAY 2: BRATISLAVA
Bratislava has been the capital of Slovakia since its independence in 1993. Bratislava was also the capital of Hungary from 1536 to 1784. A visit should begin at the castle, which offers spectacular panoramic views over the "Beauty on the Danube". The Old City presents a fascinating network of attractive squares and winding lanes. Optional walking tour takes you to the nearby, car-free historical city centre of Bratislava, long also known by the German name of Pressburg. You will see the cathedral, the Kapitulsgasse, the seminary and the Gothic Klasissin church with its unconventional steeple. In the market square, you can visit the showpiece of the lovingly restored city centre, the Primate's Palace with its famous tapestry exhibit and painting gallery containing the works of great European masters. Optional 2 hours walking tour of the city.

DAY 3: BUDAPEST Budapest once consisted of three parts: Buda, Obuda and Pest. Buda meaning "oven" was the historical upper city with the castle. The part Obuda meaning "old oven" was the part between the hill and the Danube. And Pest on the left-hand side was where most of the population lived. In 1872, these three parts were combined to form a real centre. On the optional guided tour you experience all the highlights of the "Queen of the Danube". Photograph the millennium monument on Hisök tere (Heroes' Square) in Pest, marvel at the opera, the former stock exchange and the parliament building preserved in neo- Gothic style. Walking in the Buda hills, you see the Matthias Church and visit the Fisherman's Bastion, from where there's a wonderful view over the Danube and the Pest district of the town on the other bank. Light refreshments are included. This fascinating tour is rounded off by a trip to Gellért Hill with its trademark citadel and freedom monument. Optional tour about 3 1/2 hours.

DAY 4: BUDAPEST
Morning free to explore or particiaapte in the optional tour of yesterday. Depart Budapest around noon heading towards Esztergom where you arrive about 5pm.

ESZTERGOM
Esztergom is one of the oldest cities in Hungary. Approximately 150 years ago the cathedral was built within a period of 30 years. St Peter's Cathedral in Rome was used as a model. At the inauguration, Franz Liszt conducted the "Graner Mass". It is the largest and most beautiful cathedral in Hungary as well as the third largest cathedral in Europe. Optional tour of the Esztergom Basilica. While being told the history of the small city, a small train will take you up to the cathedral of Esztergom. The cathedral's measurements are astonishing. At 118 m long and 48 m wide, it is a fantastic eye-catcher along the river. You visit the nave and the chapel and learn about its historical background. The train then takes you back to the vessel. Tour is about 1 1/2 hours.

DAY 5: VIENNA
Vienna, the capital of Austria, is known as the city on the blue Danube, but today the main river is actually detached from the inner city and only the Danube Channel runs through the city. Vienna is still one of Europe's most seductive cities, however, and is worth a visit not just for its incomparable cultural treasures, the pomp and elegance of former glory, but also for its traditional coffee houses.

DAY 6 : VIENNA Vienna has 2 option tours available and you can take them on either days.
